Arrowhead House Supervisor – Horizon Recovery
Youth Mentor | Reentry Advocate | Co-Founder, Outlaws to Advocates Podcast
Jesse Messer is a youth-focused recovery leader and mentor whose story is a living testament to the power of transformation. As House Supervisor at Horizon Recovery’s Arrowhead Facility, Jesse guides adolescent clients through structured healing environments that foster accountability, connection, and self-worth. His work centers on creating safe, supportive spaces where young people facing adversity can begin rewriting the narratives of their lives.
A formerly incarcerated individual who spent 17 years cycling through jails and prisons, Jesse began struggling with addiction at just 14 years old. Today, those experiences form the backbone of his impact. Through unwavering faith and a commitment to service, he has turned his past pain into a platform for healing others.
Jesse is also the co-founder of the Outlaws to Advocates Podcast, a storytelling platform that shares raw, redemptive journeys from the justice-impacted community. His voice, both on the mic and in the field, offers proof that even the most broken stories can become instruments of light and leadership.
With certifications in peer support and recovery coaching, and a background in facilitating programs at New Freedom, Jesse brings both compassion and structure to every role he serves. His mission is clear: to be the light that shines in the darkness—and to help others find their own.
